Conditions for all games: Morning and afternoon games at 85-90 Deg F, mostly sunny, light wind.
(#1) Loyola-Maryland versus (#8) Oakland University
Final: 21-5 with Loyola earning the win. Oakland had 13 rostered players and their Standouts were Lily DiPanni with 4 draw wins, 1 goal, 2 ground balls along with Leigha Crawford with 2 goals, 2 draw wins, and Kendell Binfet 1 goal, Audrey Giacolone 1 Goal and Goalie Maria Davita making 10 saves. Loyola rostered 18 Players, with standouts Emily Grob, 4 Draw wins, 3 Goals, Hannah Kleinbeck with 3 goals and 5 assists, and Isabel Sedwick with 3 draw wins and 2 goals, other goal scorers included; Bridget Scherer(2), Caroline Guerterman (2), Lauren Imasa (2), Gretchen Morris (1), Grace Boudreaux (2), Allison Dammer (2), Grace Kelly (1), Clara Dempsey (1). Relatively smooth game with 2 penalties.
(#2) Grand Valley State University vs (#7) Sacred Heart University
Final: 17-0 GVSU earning the win. Sacred Heart had 16 rostered players among those were standouts: Georgia Saxe with 3 Draw wins, and a ground ball and Jolie Dalton with 3 ground balls with 9 Saves made by Paige Brucker. GVSU rostered 20 players, standouts included Jenna Hoppe and Allison Romanski both with hattricks, Danielle Laycock, Ryan Vandlen, Maddie Buschman each with 2 goals, Lily Johnson, Melanie Scram, Isabella Piccione, Dacey Redman, Anna Barber, with one goal each. Isabella Piccione led with 3 assists. 2 penalties by GVSU and 5 by SH.
(#3) Fairfield University vs (#6) Towson University
Final: 22-6 Fairfield earns the win. Towson Rostered 19 Players with standouts: Rowan Burke 4 goals, 7 Ground balls, 4 Draw wins, and single goals scored by Joy Perry and Marley Rohe. 6 Saves by goalie MK McGonagle and 4 saves by goalie Mia Addo. Fairfield rostered 23 players with standouts: Stephanie Reap 6 goals, 2 ground balls and an assist, Beth McDermott 6 draw wins, 2 Ground balls and a goal, Kacey McGorry 4 goals, Molly Rocco 3 goals, Lily Berchin 1, Madeline Lievi 1, Cielle McInerney 2, Grace Crisafulli 1, Mairead Kelly 2, and Lauren Delaney 1. Molly McMahon had 5 ground balls. Goalie Emily Brady made 6 Saves. No penalties in this game.
(#4) University of St Thomas vs (#5) Fordham University
Final: 12-6 University of St Thomas earns the win. Fordham rostered 18 players with standouts: Lena Weinkauf 3 Goals, Emily Cox, 2 goals, Lauren Mesick 1 goal and 4 draw wins along with 11 saves by goalie Arianna Bondi. The Tommies rostered 16 players, with standouts: Anna Koepke with 5 goals, 8 draw wins, and 2 goals each by Tatum Birr and Ally Carle, and single goals by Bella Mullen and Lexie Deutsch. 8 Saves by goalie Ella Bannie. Smooth game only 1 penalty.
4PM – First round Consolation Games
(#7) Sacred Heart University vs (#8) Oakland University
Final: 10-2 Sacred Heart earns the win. In the heat of the day, both teams battled for the first half with a 2 goal separation. During the second half SHU were able to open the margin. Oakland Standouts: Lily DiPanni 5 Draw wins, 2 goals, 2 take aways, along with Goalie Maria Davila making 11 saves. SHU standouts: Amanda Beberman with 3 assists and a goal, Kate Shea 2 goals, Nicole Partridge 2 goals, Jessie Tallino, Margaret Mossop, Jolie Dalton, Samantha Schroeder, Georgia Saxe each with a goal. Goalie Paige Brucker making 8 saves. A balanced game overall with no recorded penalties.
(#5) Fordham University vs (#6) Towson University
Final: 10-7 Fordham earns the win. A neck and neck game with Fordham taking the lead early with 2 goals and Towson answering with a locked defense. Game was 4-2 in the first quarter and only one goal scored in the 2nd quarter taking it to 5-2. The game continued with a 2-5 goal separation with Towson constantly battling back. Towson standouts: Rowan Burke with 3 goals and a ground ball, Gizelle San with 4 goals. Hannah Gardner goalie with 3 saves. Fordham standouts: Emily Cox with 5 goals, Lauren Mesick with 3 goals including one unassisted from winning the draw, and taking it to the net, Lena Weinkauf 2 goals and a ground ball. Goalie Ariana Bondi made 5 save. A smooth game with 2 penalties.
Day 2 Kicks off at 10:30am CST with consolation games followed by our semi-final games at 12:30pm CST.
